Electrical sensitivity

Dating back 8,000 years from China and introduced to the United States in the 1970's. Acupuncture is a series of points in specific areas of electrical sensitivity. Once stimulated these points encourage the body to heal naturally and improve function. Acupuncture therapy uses stainless-steel, sterilized needles (as fine as a human hair) placed into a point(s) on or just under the skin surface that stimulate the bodies CHI (pronounced chee) life energy; that flow in channels called meridians. Over 14 meridian channels and points along them aid in restoring the CHI (or flow) when the meridian becomes unbalanced or blocked; theoretically illness stems from a blocked meridian. Meridian points have aided in general or chronic pain with or without medical reason along with: gastrointestinal, respiratory, circulatory, immune, musculoskeletal, neurological, urogenital, infertility, gynecological/genitourinary, emotional, and psychological disorders. Addiction and weight loss have also found aid in acupuncture therapy.
